It didn't matter that no one was required to say it, or that it wasn't endorsing any religious establishment. This asshat was going to try to make sure no one had the option of saying it, becuase HE didn't believe in it.
Newdow says the words "In God We Trust" on currency is an unconstitutional endorsement of religion. He adds it, "excludes people who don't believe in God."
It excludes what? You from using it? Use a debit card instead then asshat, and put something nifty on it like "In Todd We Trust".
The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear Newdow's challenge of the pledge of allegiance because he's not the custodial parent of a student forced to say the prayer. The activist has since recruited other families who also oppose the pledge to re file the suit. It is now pending in the federal appeals courts.
These people don't realize how much they make atheism look like a religion themselves.

I find it funny that no religious group finds this offensive except atheists. Not most atheists mind you, just the fundamentalists like Newdow. Get your panties out of their wad Newdow.
